Hi,

I don't think you should worry. Such illness is common in children and mostly caused by a virus that heals itself. I personally understand at the moment there is no need to take him to doctor. Give him more and more fluids. Give paracetamol for fever and observe. I hope he will be fine in a few days.

However, if he feels very sick, dehydrated, refuses foods, or persistent vomiting then you should take him to the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
