Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

This suggests insect bite reaction. Shortly after a bite, you can give Acetaminophen and an antihistamine like Hydroxyzine for symptomatic relief. The black scars will disappear its own, but will take few months. The best thing we can do is to avoid insect bite by using a mosquito repellent.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
