Hello Endocrinologist Dr. Topiwala, I have multinodular Goiter, T3,T4 & TSH are in normal range but Thyroid Antibody is too high i.e. 438. My physician has prescribed Eltroxin 100 mg. However one endocrinologist suggested to take Thyroxin 75 mg. I am confussed about what power to take. Also I want to know whether these nodes can be treated with medicines without any type of sugery. Please guide. thanks and regards,

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You have mutinodular goitre and your T3, T4 and TSH are normal. So it is non toxic goitre. Treatment options are thyroidectomy, radioactive iodine or thyroxine. It depends on many factors. If there is no contraindication then surgery should be preferred. So, consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Dosages of thyroxine depends on your hormones level.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
