Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Fever And Stiff Joints

Hi I have sudden flu like symptoms a couple of hours after eating - I felt nauseous and feverish and I tried to vomit but could not. I tried to sleep but was delirious and had feverish dreams. At one point my joints began to hurt pretty badly and my arms and legs stiffened up severely. I was going to ask my wife to take me to the hospital but after some fairly good sleep my symptoms abated somewhat. I have never had my joints and limbs stiffen up like that and it scared me. Any answers?? Thank You!

Hi,

As per your symptoms, the condition looks like either severe dehydration or prodromal symptoms of viral infection.

You need to take fluids in the form of water to get yourself properly rehydrated. If the condition doesn't improve you may be having a viral infection.

For viral infections like common cold (influenza) you don't have to take medication but if your fever doesn't subside you can take Tylenol.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
