Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Vomiting And Urinary Incontinence

My 64 year old mom and family went camping. We all ate the same food. She is violently ill. Nausea, vomiting, incontinent of urine. I gave her compazine supp. So she can keep fluids down. That was accomp. By fever, delirium, inability to function. Today she is up, walking slowly. Right arm swelled up +2 red raised solid rash, with few tentacles towards armpit. Painful. With ROM. Still nauseated but able to keep down crackers and fluids.rash hasn t progressed up arm any more. She is fever free with Tylenol grX. Food poisoning?bug bite, spider bite?

Hello,

Since she has raised solid rash and right arm swelling, she should take non sedating antihistamines to reduce swelling, inflammation and pain. She can continue to take Tylenol for relieve. It looks like spider or insect bite. She should wash the affected area thoroughly with water and remove any stingers. Washing with white vinegar may help.

She should take anti-emetics and PPIs, Pantoprazole, one SOS to ease discomfort. Symptoms of insect bites commonly subside in 48 hours. However, if it does not, she should get clinically examined in the ER, she may need urgent medical aid. She can take semi solid or liquid diet. Take adequate water and rest.
