Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

You might have had a muscle spasm in the neck region. This pain is usually felt the maximum a day after the injury and persists fro 3 days at least. Please take rest and apply a muscle relaxant ointment to the area where you have hurt yourself. Please do not make sudden neck movements and allow the muscles to get back to normal. If the pain in severe then you can take an oral pain reliever after food. Do not bend down because that can increase your pain. You might have to avoid pillows for few days and lie down on a flat surface till your neck feels better.
