Suggest Treatment For Neck Pain , Ear Ache And Vision Problems

I have really bad pain in the left side of my neck with pain going up into my head around my ear (earache) and vision problems. Went to eye doctor and she said the eye was seriously dry and prescribed restasis. My regular physician has an MRI ordered for my neck. What worries me is that the MRI won t pick up anything in my head....

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of neck pain , ear ache and vision problems which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection and spread of infection from respiratory tract to eustachian tube leading to eustachian tube dysfunction. It can also occur due to cervical spondylosis , TMJ problem or sinusitis . You should avoid intake of outside food and avoid cold carbonated beverages. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for throat swab test and get blood tests done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should do warm saline gargles. You should take steam inhalation. You should take antiallergic medication such as Levocetirizine. Take proper course of antibiotic along with mucolytic agents. Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon for cervical problem .
