Hello Im from israel 35 years old, 13 years ago a psichiatrist that came in my house to diagnosed me after having an hard dipression, and diagnosed me as having a schyzophernia just in an apoitment of 30 min, he gave me as the first treatment, penfluridol[semap] which is a combination of haloperidol and pimozid which should be given to a chronic schyzophernia patients as the last resort. That drug caused me very hard akethisia, seizures, spasms and hard dystonia, i couldnt even breath and i simply thought im gonna die, he also prescribed me dekinet for the side effects but didnt tell the importance to take it when having the side effects , so i simply didnt take it because i was in such a shock and so scared so i laid down on the floor of the living room spaseming. He also didnt answer the phone when my mom called him for about 9 hours and she didnt know what to do, She didnt order an ambulance for me [because she was herself in a shock] but went to our family doctor which told me on the phone to swallaw 1 tablet of diazepam[valium], so i did it and it was almost 3 hours since i started to feel the hard side effects. Now 13 years later i suffer alot, i have some irreersible damage in a form of tardive dystonia/diskinesya of my jaw, and i simply play with my jaw almost all day in a trying to release it, i have also osteoarthritis in the left side of my jaw with some neurological damage and subcortical cysts. Im suffering very much. So i simply wanted to ask if you know about same case as me around the world [i know that this drug was banned by the FDA from the day it was published in 1968] or if u heared or read in the psichiatric liteature, of someone that received the drug as the first treatment like me before any other drug? or i simply was the only one in the world?!?[btw i sue the hospital that this psichatrist came from for almost 8 years but the trial hasnt over yet] I will really appreciate and thank for an answer.
