Suggest Treatment For Ovarian Cyst And Lower Abdominal Pain

I have a pain in the right of my lower abdomen; an ultrasound recently showed a cyst on the ovary; I have pain when walking and cannot walk for more than 5 minutes at a time. The doctor prescribed a pain medicine, tramadol, but it is not working. Should I go to the emergency room?

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. In the current scenario, i would ask you to report to your health care provider immediately. The pain may be related to the cyst on the ovary or have some other reason. Yet, it is better to err on the positive side. Do not walk or exert. Rest in bed. Do not massage or apply hot compress. Take liquids but avoid solids. Antispasmodic medication may be useful to relieve spasm of the organs. Do not hold urine, you should be able to pass it freely. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
