Suggest Treatment For Ovarian Cyst

Hey, I have a cyst on my left ovary that was found last year. It has started causing me problems. I went to doctor and had a ultrasound done and come to find out it has grown and they found shadows on the ultrasound on the cyst. I want to know is there a reason that I need to be concerned.

Hello,

If there is increasing in size or suspicious features, surgical removal is required. You can opt for a CECT scan for better visualization.

Most ovarian cysts are benign (non-cancerous) and do not require further treatment. Consult a gynecologist and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
