Suggest Treatment For Overactive Bladder

My mother, who was 87 years old during later part of the year 2009, was adviced to take Soliten tablets by a well known Urologist DR Anand. She had the problem of overactive bladder, due to which she had to frequently pass urine. initially, the tablet was prescribed for 1 month (5mg one time a day) and later she continued taking the tablet for almost an year. then it was stopped. Does it have any side effects, as the tablet was taken for a longer period? if so, what are the side effects?
