Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m experiencing sharp pain behind my left knee when I try to straighten it. I experienced no falls, twists, bumps etc. it was fine before a 4 hour plane ride, but it has bothered me upon exiting the plane, and for the two weeks since. Tried ice, and Aleve.
I think that you might be having any meniscus or cartilage damage in knee joint. I would suggest you to get MRi of the knee joint to confirm the diagnosis. According to that if we found that there is meniscus injury then you will need a arthroscopic surgery. If MRI is normal then i would suggest you to avoid squatting and cross leg sitting.
