Suggest Treatment For Pain During Urination

Hi my husband hS a bladder infection. Since Tuesday. He has a large Cather in. Is taking a antibiotic. No pain in the beginning at all. Now everyday he is more pain & very sore. . Hip I guess muscle, is hard. Legs are swollen. So is foot. He can t walk. Is this common. Why was this Cather left in.

The swallowed legs and that he cant move them is not related to infection.
The catheter is used since he cant empty bladder himself so to help him. He may have hypertrophy of prostate .
