Suggest Treatment For Pain In Arthritic Facet Joints?

Hello, I am 68 years old with arthritic facet joints. Most of my pain is across the distal back around S-1 and lower. I have had a couple of diagnostic blocks in an endeavor to locate the exact area of stenosis against the MRI. My doc friend has also injected steroids into my facet joints on both sides (L1 - L5). He feels that RFA is a probable way to go. I am not certain that it is the way to go. Your thoughts?

Hello,

I have studied your case and reports

For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.

Epidural steroid may help.
RFA will also help you.

If no recovery then you may need repeat epidural shot.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
