Suggest Treatment For Pain In Calf Muscles

Hello. I had myofascial release on my calves to treat metartsalgia. The physical therapist hit my calves 40 times with a reflux hammer and has left me with 32 bruises. 9 days later I am still in pain. I am seeing a new PT and she has been using ultrasound and electrical stimulation. I am not seeing much improvement with the pain. Is this normal? Should I go to see a dr?
