Suggest Treatment For Pain In Esophagus And Vomiting
my daughter woke up this morning with an awful pain in her esophagus. When she lies down its really bad in fact the pain cause her to vomit? She had a soccer game last night but felt fine. The pain woke her up. Last year she fainted when she was running......
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your daughter and understood the concerns. Waking up with pain in esophagus that increase on laying down and can cause her to vomit can be due to the following reasons: Laz lower esophageal sphincter. GERD that is Gastro-esophageal reflux disease. Gastritis and acidity related problems. Hiatus hernia. This can be diagnosed by an upper GI endoscopy and treated with the following: PPI like Pantoprazole. Antacid every three hours. Domperidone at 8 hourly duration to have proper motility regulation. Soft bland diet. Small frequent feeds and further management as per the findings of endoscopy and other reports.
