Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am 47, female and I believe I have gout, have all signs and spotty redness through out my lower legs as well. Very painful, knees, feet, but my doctor says women do not get gout. I know I have this what can I do, is there pictures available? Please help I am in so much pain,
I have studied your case. Due to compression of this nerve root there is pain in your leg. Venous congestion can lead to red spot. Serum uric acid levels will rule out gout.
I will advise you to do MRI spine For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started. Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief. I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care
