Suggest Treatment For Pain In Right Side Of Abdomen And Difficulty In Bowel Movement

My daughter was born without a butt hole and when she was big enough they created one for her. She is 14 now and yesterday she came home from school in a lot of pain she said was on her right side. Her period has past about a week. She has been going to the rest room and said she feels like she needs to poop but nothing is coming out. The more she strains the more she says it hurts her butt. When she was younger I would have to help her if the poop was hard and she would sometimes rip. I have looked and when she strains I see and feel nothing. She is also nauseous. The pain on her side tends to move down when asked sometimes where it is now.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of your daughter born with no butt hole, got operated later for the same. She is now 14 and came home yesterday with lots of pains on her right side, needed to poop but nothing came out, there is pain in the butt, has nausea.
The reasons loos to be colitis or appendicitis as the pain is on the right side.
At the same time there looks to be an anal fissure.
I would advise in such a situation the following;
- Take her to the ER to get examined the abdomen and the anus for appendicitis and fissure in ano.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Tests of blood, urine and stool.
CT scan of the abdomen to confirm if there is something that is suspected as lymph nodes or so.
Clinical evaluation, per-rectal digital examination and so on.
This will give the proper diagnosis and a plan for further management.
I find this answer helpful
