Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Hip And Tenderness In The Front Of My Quad
I am a physically fit 53 year woman, who is a old runner and is and has always been physically fit. I am 5 3 and weigh 115. I was running a race this past july and felt a pain in my hamstring attachment. I could still walk, etc. So i knew it wasn t torn. However, my recovery has been extremely perplexing as I m having pain in my hip and tenderness in the front of my quad, right on top where it going into my hip in front. This has been ongoing for 3 months now. Should I get an MRI?
I recommend performing a lumbar spineMRI in order to exclude a possible disk herniation in the lumbar spine, which may lead to radicular nerve pain in this region.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
