Hello and welcome to HCM, A history of pain during sexual activity and discharge thereafter suggests presence of infection. You need to abstain from sexual activity till the infection clears away. The infection could be urinary infection or infection of the genital tract. You need to get an urine examination along with examination of the discharge. The infection could be an urinary infection spreading to the genital tract or vice versa. If infection is detected, appropriate treatment can be started. You need to consult your gynecologist with reports for further management. In case your partner is also suffering from similar symptoms like discharge, burning urination etc. he also needs to be treated.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
