Suggest Treatment For Pain Under Rib

i am 31 weeks pregnant and have been seeing a chiropractor for pain under my right rib. after multiple tests it was determined not to be my gallbladder, liver, kidneys. she found my rib cage is actually pushing under my spine in the back which is causing the rib cage in the front to bow out. shr has done 2 adjustments which helps a lot but i have found using an icy hot patch on my right rib cage in the front for a few hours helps a lot inorder to sleep. now reading through websites they say that you should not use icy hot patches on your stomach. is this rwally unsafe and why?

As per your explanation I suggest there is no side effect of icy hot patch when use for a topical application. But here you can also try with warm heat pack and check how you feel. This will be even more safe for you since there is no chemical content in this. And since you are pregnant should be more careful doing some thing new. You can also apply do one by one hot and cold pack application. Just remember start with warm hot pack and again ending also should be with the same. This also will give good relief. But if you are planning to apply and sleep then warm hot pack is the better option.
Hope this was useful for you. Take care.
