Suggest Treatment For Painful Bump On Mons Pubis Area

Hi i have a bump on my mons pubis area, it is under the skin and unless i touch and press down, in which i then feel pain, i cannot tell it is there. the area is not red, i just feel a bump about the size of a peanut there and it hurts when i press on it, what can it be?

Is the bump located in the region where your pubic hair grows? If so, then this could be folliculitis which is inflammation or infection of the hair follicle.
