Suggest Treatment For Painful Left Hip

I am 78 years old and looking at the prospect of hip replacement. My left hip is more troublesome than my right but both have sever OA and the doctor tells me I have no cartilage in the left. Also I polled my babk when doing some light gardening so I am recovering from that with Ice pacs and Tylenol EX but use them on occasion. My question is what are the primary considerations I should think about with a Hip Replacement

Hello,

I have studied your case.

You may need to consider restriction of activities after hip replacement, you cant sit cross leg after hip replacement.
Anterior hip replacement surgery gives good results.
No much advantage of minimally invasive hip replacement.
Rather than choose good quality of implant material which will last longer.

Physiotherapist will help you better to learn more exercises in proper protocol.

Diet rich in calcium and protein will help for recovery.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
