Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted the clinical details of your father.

He has suffered from paralysis of left arm and left leg due to infarction (blockage of blood supply) on the right side of brain.

The best treatment for infarction is thrombolysis (clot buster therapy) with tissue plasminogen activator. However, this is time bound and can only be given in first four and a half hours.

Later on, the best treatment is physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

In addiiton, we need to control his blood pressure, sugars and cholesterol.

Aspirin and statins should be used to prevent strokes in future.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
