Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough In A Child

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... Persistent heavy cough in a 7yr old, no fever, no wheezy chest when listening to her breathe, has astmatic tendencies when immunity low due to colds. Been coughing for at least an hour non stop, has brought up clear mucus. Have tried lemon and honey, vics, ibuprofen, steam and sucking on a sweet.

It may be upper respiratory tract infection or allergic bronchitis.

I suggest that you give him syrup Benadryl.
