Suggest Treatment For Pharyngitis

Hi I am 34 years young man I am suffering from phyringitis from last 40 days I completed full course of antibiotics medicine like amoxicillin azithromycin e.t.c. but I don t have any result 100% please give me some suggestions what I have do please? ??

Hi there,
Thanks for using HCM.
It looks like you are having chronic pharyngitis.
Antibiotics would be helpful only if it is due to bacterial infection.
It has been there for more than 40 days now and it is less likely to be due to bacterial infection and so you may not get relief with antibiotics.
It could be due to other reasons like gastroesophageal reflux disease which can cause throat irritation or due to smoking if you have that habit.
You can take a course of Nexium. You would get relief if it is due to gastroesophageal reflux disease.
In addition you can also take paracetamol/acetaminophen and also gargle with salt water for relief.
