Suggest Treatment For Pimples On The Arms While On Dithiazide
I have been taking Dithiazide tablets (diuretics) for a few months and recently, in the last three months or so I have been coming out in tiny red spots, raised like pimples on my arms, shoulders, back, not all at once but sparsely, here and there in different places and are very itchy. I think it is the sulphur in this tablets that may be causing it as I do not take any medications with sulphur.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
This rash is mostly a side effect for Diathiazide. You need to consult your doctor about this effects, where he will prescribe Oral anti-histamine and topical medications to alleviate both the rash and itching.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
