Suggest Treatment For Punctured Wound Drawing Blood

2 yr old fell off a weight bench and hit his head behind his ear on metal hook. It was punctured and drew blood. Cleaned it up, put antibiotic ointment on it and wrapped it. Took the gauze off a day later and their is a bump over the cut. He has been his usual self; eating, drinking, and sleeping...should I take him in?

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

It is better to take a consultation from your doctor to rule out any head injury. Physical examination is required to know the extent of injury.

It is a good sign if your kid has not developed symptoms like vomiting, blurring of vision and loss of consciousness.

You have given proper treatment, in addition to this he may require hot compression and oral antibiotics.

Thank you.
