General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Headache need not be a sign of cancer. There are many reasons for recurrent head ache. It could be due to refractory error and eye sight problem, allergy and sinus problem. It could be due to raised blood pressure or migraine. It needs physical examination, other relevant tests to find the cause. Please consult your family doctor for guidance.
In case of family history of cancer, its wise to have periodic test (Pap smear in case of cervical cancer). It helps in identifying the possibility of disease early, early diagnosis and prompt treatment can harness the problem successfully. Don't be afraid, start being careful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
