Suggest Treatment For Recurring Epilepsy

Hello doctor,
My sister was got fits at age of 10 and again she got attacked with fits at age 26 now. Earlier we have taken proper treatment by taking tablet EPTION and it has been stopped for long time. again she got attacked with fits(epilepsy) is it possible?

Hi,

I do appreciate your concern for your sister. Epilepsy is a condition in which a recurrence of seizures after a gap of years is very much possible. However, it will also be important to undergo thorough evaluation for ruling out any other cause.

I would recommend that you should consult a neurologist for getting your sister evaluated and re-initiating anti-epileptic medications as required.
