Suggest Treatment For Recurring Knee Pain After Injury

Hi, I am a healthy female of 37 yrs and at 5ft2in weigh approx 59kegs. Last year while playing with our daughter I fell down after which I have recurring complaints of pain in the area of tail bone, shoulders and knee etc. Consultations revealed that I had osteoporosis and I was put on medication for 3mths. Since last 3mths I am having a pain near my knees. Doctors said it was due to ligament stress and whilst they prescribed some medicines, the pain persists and since yesterday it is fairly acute. Please advice what to do.

Hello,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got osteoporosis and pain due to it. Now you are having pain near both knees . Doctor said it is due to ligament stress. Pain is now severe. You can take strong analgesic such as tramadol for relief. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. Rest is useful for healing of ligament injury It is advisable to use splint till pain subsides. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
