General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, greetings! Red sclera can be caused by various reasons. It can be:-

BACTERIAL mainly Staphylococcus Aureus and in this case I would prescribe my patients antibiotic drops like Moxifloxacin to be instilled 4 times a day for 7 days.

Fungal mainly Klebsiella in case of which you might have to take oral antifungal drugs.

It may be an allergic cause, in that case you may have to take steroidal eye drops

I would like to know if you had any opthalmic/head injury in the recent past. Red eye can be due to middle skull/orbital fractures for which I would suggest a skull X Ray in case you have suffered any trauma.
