can certainly stop for a bit. It acts as an irritant. One can get an allergic reaction to in, in which case any exposure to it will be very irritating. IF it is merely the irritation expected from it, then stoppin until the irritation is gone and restarting using it at a lowr frequencey (less often) will fix it.
