Suggest Treatment For Ringing In Ears And Pain In Gums

Good morning... Around 3 weeks ago I bit into a so called piece of boneless chicken and felt a crack and loud sensation from one of my upper left back teeth, since than it has hurt a bit when I chew and my gum feels tender when i close my jaw and put pressure on it, I went to the dentist and he checked it out and couldn t really find a problem, he took xrays and could see no signs of any cracks or factures and now since seeing him my tooth is loose and I have a constant ringing in my left ear which is starting to drive me nuts, is the ringing caused by the loose tooth and sore gum or is this 2 seperate problems I now have... I m a 48yo male. Thank you, Mark :)

Hello,

I don't think they are related to each other. I suggest you to do an X-ray of the mandible to see better the articulation of the ear just under it and to consult further with your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
