General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Runny nose, dry lips, shivering and all other symptoms as you have suggested like ear block are suggestive of a severe inflammation of the upper respiratory system along with systemic effects causing other symptoms. Consult your doctor for preliminary examination and symptomatic treatment. Consult an ENT surgeon for clinical evaluation. Do ENT endoscopy. Do relevant tests of blood, throat swab and X-rays or CT scan as needed. Get started on an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicines. Use decongestant oral and nasal drops. Do steam inhalation. Bed rest. Complete the courses till cured well and needs proper follow up.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
