Suggest Treatment For Scabies, Severe Itching On Feet, Genitals And Between Fingers
My husband has been to the Dr. And Dermatologist office with a skin issue he s had going on 5-6 months now and nobody seems to have answers. At first he was diagnosed with scabies. Severe itching on feet, genitles and between fingers. Went through numerous tubes of Promethium cream...tea tree oil and antibiotics. He said he can feel whatever it is crawling on him. Black spots and now blister type places are popping up on his thighs, buttocks, arms and around lower abdomen and genitles. Dermatologist did a biopsy and said psoriasis. Please help!
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder. It can also be hereditary. Long term disease can affect bones causing arthritis. Generally dead skin is removed in a cycle of 21 days and in psoriasis it is occurs in very few days. This leads to excessive scaling ,plaque formation or redness. Immuno-suppressants like steroids and Methotrexate may be required to control the condition. UV therapy and Vitamin D analogues are also useful in many patients.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
