Suggest Treatment For Sever Pain And Swelling Due To Stent In Pancreas

I had a stint put in my pancreas due to pancreatitis, after severe blood lost the Dr put a permanent stint in. I still am having severe pain and swelling. I m at white end and I m not sure what to do next. My Dr said he can refer me to a specialist but I can t afford that at this time and he has told me he can t do anything else. How can I get this under control......

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of stent in pancreatic duct which has caused swelling and pain.
This looks to be due to the stent acting as a foreign body .
Or can be due to pancreatitis.
Or can be blockage of common bile duct and consequent complications.
I would advise you the following:
First of all talk to your Doctor.and discuss in details about the possible complications that might have arisen.
Ask for investigations.
Blood: CBC, liver function tests, kidney function amylase, lipase and other relevant tests after clinical evaluation.
CT Scan or MRI of liver and pancreas.
This will give idea about the possible diagnosis and a plan for further treatment.
I think you should get admitted for investigation, clinical evaluation and treatment.
