Hi Dr. I am on meds for High blood pressure, also Hypothyroidism, I have a hiatel hernia, I am on oxycontin, norco for a chronic back injury, 3 surgeries including a neurostimulator to help control the pain. I do know that my vitamin D levels range very low and have for years even with taking vitamin D. I also have sleep apnea I do not use a machine for sleep, but I am lucky to get a couple of hours of sleep a night, I have caught myself stop breathing for a second or two in my sleep. I wake up gasping. For the past couple of weeks I am experiencing symptoms of AFIB ( heart racing, and pounding when I have checked my pulse such as the other day I went to the pharmacy to pick up some prescriptions. I walked from the car to the pharmacy counter. They had a blood pressure machine my blood pressure was not bad for me 136/86 my pulse was 138 this has been the nornal for the past couple of weeks. I am out of breath walking from my front door to the car. Even resting my pulse is high. It is at the point where it is noticably uncomfortable for me on a constant basis. Today I woke up sick to my stomach. vomiting and when I vomit I do have some blood coming up. Over the course of the day the amount of actual blood is probably about 1/3 cup. Of course being Sunday I can not get a hold of my regular dr. and I am the kind of person who will wait it out as long as possible before going to the dr. When I saw that I could ask you, this sounded like the advice I needed. I am 53 yr old female. I have a family history of strokes at an older age. I am a breast cancer survivor.
