Suggest Treatment For Severe Bladder Infection

I have been taking nitrofur mon cap 100 mg for 2 years now for controlling my super bad bladder infections. how long can it be taken with no problems? I am 78 and seem to be ok. when I quit taking them I have a super bladder infection the next morning. please help me. janet

Dear sir,
I would like to know the urine culture report. you should undergo a ultrasound KUB examination. I will suggest that you should meet a urologist because you may have prostate enlargement as a reason for recurrent UTI.
