Suggest Treatment For Severe Burning Pain In Foot

I have had a triple ankle fusion operation last monday. I am now in a cast and am at home. When ever I put my foot down from its elevated position, I get a severe burning pain in my foot in less than 30 seconds. It feels like my foot is going to explode inside the cast and I get sharp pains around the sides where the stitching is. It also feels like the cast is too tight. 26, Male, 5ft 10, 17 stone

Hello,

The pain could be related to local inflammation and swelling. I recommend taking Naproxen to help with the swelling.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
