Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarhhea

I have been having bowel trouble. Not able to have a BM without the use of an enima for more than 3 weeks. Twice during this time I had severe diarrhea with painful cramping. I have a history of 2 small polyps removed in the mid 90 s. I donated plasma today & found out that my Hematocrit is 39. I also going thru a tramatic divorce. I am drinking 72 oz of h2o a day, 1200 calorie diet & gainging weight. Just started a fitness program. The combination of all this has me wondering if something serious is going on. I have never been iron defcient. What should I do. Thanks

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe diarrhea which could be due to food intolerance leading to electrolyte imbalance in body. Need not to worry. I would suggest Take diet rich in fruits rich in vitamin C as it will boost his immunity. Giving warm chicken soup and lemon tea is very useful for this. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined and start proper course of antibiotics. Go for complete blood count and platelet count to rule out any hidden systemic pathology. Avoid giving cold beverages. Take diet rich in probiotics. Avoid taking large meals. You should take small and frequent meals. Take plenty of fluids. Avoid taking hot, sharp and spicy food beverages.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
