I am 64, female: the ball of my feet hurt daily, left foot more than the right. Now the pain on the left foot also includes pain from ball of foot in a straight line in the middle of the foot almost to the heal. I wear flats 99% of the time, no high heels. How do I best treat this issue? J

Hi The common cause could be Gout,,if associated with redness at ball of foot.Getting blood test done for uric acid done.The other cause could be stress fracture and I would advise diet rich in calcium,vitamin D along with Ibuprofen and rest will be helpful. Take care
