I have recently been getting very bad headaches, which for me is very unusual as I dont remember getting a single headache growing up. They tend to be one-sided and the pain typically starts beind my right eye. Also, around the same time as the headaches began, I noticed that my whole tongue lost a tremendous amount of sensation. It has gone almost completely numb. On a scale on 1-10 I would give the numbness a 7.5. Since the numbness started, it hasn t ceased, not even for a minute. These two symptoms started about a week ago, possibly a day or two more. Along with that I ve noticed that my vision has become spotty and sometimes blurry. I have always had pretty good eyesight, never needed glasses or contacts but I havent had my eyes checked in a couple of years. What worries me is that diabetes runs in my family and unfortunately I don t have the best and most nutritious eating habbits, however I am only 23 and seem to be in relatively good shape. Do I have cause to worry about the symtoms? I m due for a checkup although I m slightly concerned that it s more urgent than that due to the fact that I ve never experienced anything like this before.
