Suggest Treatment For Severe Knee Pain

Hi. in the last three weeks I have developed extreme knee pain, on the inside; no falls no bumps and no previous problems on that side (left). X-rays show very minimal OA and nothing else; I had an MRI today and follow up appt. is on 10/3 .Pain does not respond to oxycodone 5mg or NSAIDS.I am a 72 yrs old woman in relative good health, except for fibromyalgia and OA in other.joints The only comfortable position is with leg flat on the bed. Any ideas? I would appreciate any help. especially as far as a diagnostic and pain control until next Friday, the doctor gave me Relafen 2x500m daily !!!Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Hi,
It seems that due to osteoartheritis there might be having stiffness in knee muscles and decreasing fluid in knee joint
there might be having degenerative changes in cartilages as well.
MRI examination will throwsome more light about your knee joint condition.
Do patellar exercise daily, this will give some relief.
Physiotherapy will be much helpful.
Do not sit in squad position.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
