Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Between Shoulder Blades

Hi I have had severe constant pain between shoulder blades for four days-been aching in same area for few weeks-but pain increased on Thursday and has not relented. Also a hacking cough has started yesterday. I gave up smoking 10 years ago. Many thanks

I think that you are having a pulled muscle in between shoulder, It can be due to sudden movement , or a severe bout coughing. I would suggest you following.
1. Hot water fomentation
2. Voletran ointment
3.Muscle relaxant like Myoril and Myospaz for five days
4. Avoid gym or any sporting activity
These steps will help in pain relieving. If there is increase in pain then I would recommend you to get a x ray of the spine as some time there can be a problem in bone also.
