Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Legs, Knees And Hands

I have severe pain in my legs, knees, hands and arms. My legs, feet, breast and hands swell so badly that I can see fluid pockets and my legs and feet begin to look deformed. The pain gets so bad that I cannot walk up stairs with the pain being worse at night. My chest gets tight and I get out of breath easily. I do not understand what is happening to me. I have suffered from anxiety disorder for 19 years and this is not anxiety. It has been 9 months and getting worse as daily activities become harder. My muscles in my hands are becoming weak and having trouble even opening a bottle. My legs turn a bluish color. I have tried Motrin up to 800 mg and Tylenol. I even bought compression gloves and socks with no relief. In addition, my vision gets blurry and sometimes experience dizzy spells. I do not drink or smoke. 44 yrs old and was healthy until this started. I m so confused and need help for what I should do.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Most probably it can be a simple musculoskeletal pain. As a first line management you can try analgesics like Tramadol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
