Suggest Treatment For Severe Painful Rashes On The Arm And Chest

Hi I have started getting real bad pains in the arm chest and back of the arm for a few days I had to take ibuprofen then i started getting a bad rash that is very sensitive to the touch very red and today noticed blisters starting i have to avoid ER for now.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe painful rashes on the arm and chest. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to allergic reaction due to detergent, soap , fragrance , chemical, metal, an animal bite, or an insect sting, it could be due to infection of hair follicle and contact dermatitis as well. Need not to worry. For now take benadryl twice a day , apply cold compresses and avoid any cosmetic product. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine , corticosteroid ointment and may give adrenaline short. Avoid touching or picking rash. Maintain complete hygiene.
