Suggest Treatment For Severe Stomach Ache

Hello: I ate Steel Cut instant oatmeal for the first time Monday morning and Tuesday Morning. Last night, I had the worst stomach ache. Couldn t stop going to the bathroom,but what was the worst, was the crampy horrible stomach ache. Could this be from the oatmeal? I didn t eat anything else those two day that could of caused such discomfort. My stomach is still sore today...

Hi,
Yes it might be due to that oatmeal you ate few days ago.
It may cause your stomach pain known as acute gastritis or gastroenteritis.
You may go for routine blood tests and ultrasound of abdomen.
You may require antibiotics (quinolones with antiprotozoals) and symptomatic treatment like antispasmodics, antacids, antiemetic if nausea or vomiting with prebiotics.
You must consult gastroenterologist for thoroughly clinical examination and treatment.
