Suggest Treatment For Severe Stomach And Chest Pain That Subsides After Belching

Last night I was up till about 1 am with some chest pains, after a belch or two I was fine. Today I was on my way to work and I started to have severe stomach pains. I worked for about three hours, took some tums and got sent home. I threw up about 5 times and then I took a hot bath which helped with the stomach pain. But I’ve had consistent stomach pains since 1:30. I tried to eat some soup and crackers and i threw it up. I can’t even keep liquids down. What should I do?

Hi,

It is important to seek medical attention immediately if you are experiencing severe stomach pain, vomiting, and an inability to keep liquids down. These symptoms could indicate a serious medical condition that requires urgent treatment. You may have a gastrointestinal issue such as gastritis, an ulcer, or gastroenteritis. If you have a fever, it could also indicate an infection. There could be other causes as well. It is essential to visit a doctor, who can diagnose and treat the underlying condition.

If you are unable to keep down liquids, you may become dehydrated, which can be dangerous. Make sure to drink small amounts of clear fluids, such as water or sports drinks, and seek medical attention as soon as possible. In the meantime, try to rest and avoid eating or drinking anything until you receive medical attention. If your symptoms worsen, or if you develop new symptoms, such as fever, bloody vomit, or severe abdominal pain, seek emergency medical attention immediately.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
