Suggest Treatment For Severe Stomach Pain And Irregular Bowel Movements

My daughter is 25 for the last 6 weeks shes had terrible stomach pains sickness and irregular bowel movements, shes very tiered and she says shes hungry so eats but then the pain starts she goes hot and shaky then goes to the loo, then feels hungry again. She has lost over a stone in weight. her doctors did a poo test and said it came back ok and that shes being dramatic. I am so worried about her and her doctors if im honest have a terrible attitude.

This stomach paim with irregular bowel movements could be Irritable Bowel syndrome.

Unfortunately to date, there is no permanent cure for the problem and it's management relies on diet and lifestyle modifications along with certain medications.

1) Diet and Lifestyle Modifications in IBS like avoiding Pulses and Beans, food with high amounts of refined sugars will help.

2) Good stress managment, Yoga and Acupuncture have all been used to help manage the symptoms of IBS with good results.

Medications in IBS like Loperamide (Brand Name: immodium) has been used in the management of IBS with diarrhea.

But it must be used with caution because the more you use it, the higher risk of getting an infection in your bowels.

Antispasmodics like Mebeverine (Brand Name: COLOSPA) has also been used to regulate the bowel in IBS.

She will require complete blood,h.pylori and stool tests,ultrasound abdomen with upper GI endoscopy.

Consult gastroenterologist for further advice.
